Many interested folks have asked about our bakery and farm location. We think it's great to have the connection from farm to table, so we're going to use this space to share news and events happening at Harvest Lark Bakery and 4Z Farms.
June 20, 2008: On June 11, 2008 at 10:20 PM an EF3 Tornado ripped through the nearby town of Chapman, Kansas, 5 miles from our farm and bakery. From the front porch of our home, my husband could hear the tornado so we headed for the basement. Rain was coming in the house from the force of the wind. Dennis, Joel and Alicia headed for town to check on friends. They made it to the edge of town as emergency road blocks were in place to begin helping people in the wake of the devastation. Chapman lost 65 buildings; all our schools, many homes, 3 churches, and other structures. We here at Harvest Lark Company are helping in the clean-up and lending support where ever we can. We continue to bake and ship orders and provide the best service we can to our loyal customers. If you wish to send a monetary donation to those affected by the Tornado, visit the Chapman City website. Thank you all of you who have let us know you are thinking of our community at this time. It is appreciated! God Bless you for the donations!
Harvest is beginning this week and it looks to be a nice one...
